Meet The Boat!

Sundancer NT, built in 2005, is a luxurious 15m / 50ft sailing catamaran designed for remote tropical cruising.

Sundancer sails beautifully at a comfortable 8 – 10 knots under sail, or 7 – 8 knots under power from 2 x 54hp Yanmar diesel engines.Over 2500 litres of fuel and 1500 litres of freshwater plus 20 litre/hr water-maker allow for extended cruising in any conditions. The onboard 9.5Kva generator easily powers all electrical appliances including all 5 airconditioners. A backup 5.5Kva generator is available for powering additional electrical items if needed. Sundancer is fitted with the latest electronic navigation and communication systems for safe travelling, including Iridium satellite phone.

All creature-comforts are provided for – airconditioning, TV, DVD, MP3 player, espresso machine, washing machine, hot showers, barbeque, and hotel-quality accommodation.

Sundancer sails regularly around the Top End coast of the Northern Territory, the Kimberley coast of Western Australia, East Timor, and the Tanimbar Islands in Indonesia. With her shallow draft, Sundancer can get to places mono-hulls can’t, including rivers and beaches.

Sundancer’s twin hulls and sturdy aluminium construction provide for maximum stability, comfort, and space. At 15m long and 8m wide, there’s plenty of room to spread out, relax, and enjoy the marine environment.

Inside there are 4 bedrooms (2 King size, 2 queen size), 4 single beds, and 3 bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 12 guests overnight or 8 on extended charters. Sundancer caters for up to 30 guests for day charters.

There’s also a spacious lounge area and full kitchen, including ice-maker and espresso machine. All internal areas including cabins are air-conditioned, and the cockpit is fully shaded and insect-proofed.

For extended charters ample refrigeration is available including 2 large capacity chest freezers, 220 litre fridge, and 95 litre Waeco fridge or freezer. Additional good quality mattresses, swags, and insect netting are available for those who prefer to sleep on deck.

Sundancer has been used as a charter vessel for a range of different purposes:
